About Diaper Fabrics
Our adult diapers are munafactured using four popular fabrics including gauze! All are quality sewn in the USA from 100% cotton gauze, birdseye, flannel and terry cloth. They come in both contour style and prefold in night and day weights. Other diaper styles like pull on and flat are also available but not in all fabrics.
Gauze Cloth
Among the hardest to find it is also the most popular diapering cloth. Weighing in as the lightest of all the diaper cloths, gauze is soft, loosely woven, and finely spun. This makes it the softest, most absorbent, comfortable diaper. Since it's looser, porous weave allows air to move about freely it is especially helpful in reducing the occurrence of diaper rash.
Flannel
The most common diaper fabric, flannel is the favorite of many since it's soft to touch. In addition since flannel is the easiest fabric to come by it is also the most economical.
Birdseye
Birdseye's unique weave makes it soft, comfortable and very absorbent. Its woven qualities make it fast drying and the longest lasting of any diapering fabrics.
Terry Cloth
European diapers are usually made exclusively of terry cloth. Because of its bulkiness in the US it is generally used only in the center panel. Some diaper companies use foam rubber instead of terry because of its lower cost and reduced bulk. Terry is the most absorbent of the diaper fabrics. Its advantages over foam sponge include it's superior durability, its increasing softness with laundering and the fact that it doesn't shrink when washed.
