If you’ve never tried a gauze diaper we’re not surprised. Because flannel is the most commonly used diaper fabric it is also the most well known. Retailers who sell only flannel diapers try to point out how soft and fluffy they are, but that’s not the real reason most diapers are made from flannel. Manufacturers prefer flannel because as one of the lowest costing diaper fabrics it is also the most profitable.
Twenty or thirty years ago most commercially made baby diapers were made from gauze, and for good reason. Gauze has unique properties that make it the absolute best diaper material for comfort and leakage protection.
Weighing in as the lightest of all the diaper cloths, gauze is soft, loosely woven, and finely spun. No other cloth diaper allows air to circulate as well as gauze. Its looser, porous weave allows air to move about freely so it's especially helpful in reducing the occurrence of diaper rash. Because of their lighter weigh, gauze diapers are also extremely comfortable, especially during the hot summer months. The gauze diapers and plastic pants arrived today. I washed the diapers and they got nice and fluffy, and are very comfortable, and they fit great. The plastic pants are terrific although a little more than I need, but I think they'll be useful when I'm in a business suit and need the confidence.
It is amazing how much more comfortable the guaze is - even when wet, it just feels great. I want to try a few more washings to see if this is the right size but it's a great diaper and after a few more washings to be sure of the size I'll be ordering some more. I wore the Curity 21x40 [gauze diapers] my whole life and when I was a teenager and getting larger, my mother would sew them together to make a pre-fold that would fit. I did this until they stopped making them. I was very disappointed when they stopped making them and had to wear either Birdseye or flannel - they worked but were not nearly as comfortable. Thank you, kindly for the quick reply. I know softness and comfort are difficult to quantify. Everything is relative and perceived very differently by different people. I bought a 6 pack of the gauze night diaper expecting the exact same diaper, naturally. Well, when they arrive new they are always very very soft. Wear and laundering then stabilizes the diaper to a "degree" of softness that doesn't vary after that, given the same laundry treatment which consists of machine wash and line dry outdoors most times for me. If I use the dryer, the tumbling provides a softer feel to the diaper as does a fabric softener but we aren't supposed to use the chemistry for softening as it supposedly breaks down fibers...so I don't use a liquid softener or the dryer sheets.
Anyhow, after several wearings and washings and line dryings, it became apparent the new diapers were softer. I can tell the new diapers because I mark my diapers with colored thread to easily identify types and ages. So, while it is very subjective, I really feel the batch of 6 which I got are softer than my others.
I got my order in yesterday for the 3 pack of plastic pants you had on special. I was leary to try them because of some of the poor quality I got from other services on the net. I tried them and examined them and found them to be a great value for the money and were real quality in workmanship. Thank You...I ordered from you twice once for diapers now plastic pants and found your products to be what you said they were....QUALITY worth the money.

Well, I am pleasantly surprised that you are considering all gauze as a standard offering! I can only imagine that you've heard from lots of folks who are asking for gauze since it's not been generally avialable and what was available was of sub-par quality. Your diapers are all of excellent quality and will appeal to the fussiest customer that I can imagine!

I have been wearing your gauze diapers and plastic pants now for some time and am very satisfied. I wear a double adult cloth diaper at night and a single during the day. So far no leaks. I had been using disposable diapers which was being supplied by the VA, but I am much happier wearing the cloth diapers. Once again thanks for a very good product.

Hey dennis got the diapers today and put them right in the wash and then in the dryer, MAN are they awesome, I'm going to have to buy some more i'm hooked! they'er so nice and soft. I like my diapers thick , cause then I can go a long time with out having to change, but the prefold large night gauze, really great, thank you so much you will hear from me again I would like to try some diaper pail deorderizer disk as well to keep the smell down,LOL! Oh well it happens, thanks again, thickly diapered

It was good to talk to you yesterday and I'm happy to have an other special order placed for all gauze diapers. There is no rush to get these diapers out to me! In fact, you should put new, first time orders ahead of mine. I say this, simply because I don't NEED the diapers and you should be giving priority to first time orders as you try to build the business. I know I will eventually get my diapers, I already know they superior and well worth waiting for. The first time buyer does not know this and may be impatient and not happy to have to wait when he suddenly got the urge to try your diapers, as opposed to someone elses. In the meantime I am wearing the new diapers and they have spoiled me to where I don't want to wear my flannel diapers which have been my mainstay for many many years!

Just a follow up to let you know I have "broken in" my all gauze diapers and they are fabulous! As you know, gauze (and most any diaper) gets softer with washing and wearing and these diapers are possibly the best I have ever worn and that's saying a lot because I've been incontinent all my life and have worn cloth much of the time.

I have been using your diapers for the last week and have had no problems. They work better than the disposables I’ve been using for the last several years. The disposables have a tendancy to leak at the waist and are too hot. They also take too much space to store, and finally too much trash every week. I went from 2+ trash cans to less than one due to switching to cloth diapers. Also we do laundry at home so adding the diapers is no big deal.
